Sansar Hotel aka Shamsukkade Hotel is one of those places at a very ordinary town that can surprise the hell out of you with its amazing quality and taste of dishes. This restaurant is located at Purungu near to Jumaath Mosque and will be open from 5 am to 11 pm everyday except for Sundays. Open for the last 30 years, this place is best known for their Beef and chicken fast food dishes.
Special Beef dishes from this restaurant will make you think why this place took so long to be found. New Sansar Hotel has been up and running for the last 30 years with these same amazing dishes. This place was started by Mr Shamsu, and is currently maintained by his son Nawas.
Mr Shamsu was a cook in Mumbai for many years before he came back and started his own hotel in his hometown. Their now famous Beef Kheema is actually a Marathi cuisine dish he loved which they started serving here. Signature dish from this restaurant, Beef Kheema has shredded beef pieces mixed in the special gravy masala. Try it with their smooth porotta to get the best out of this dish.
Beef Fry and Beef Chilly are their other two famous beef Dishes. Beef Fry from here has that thick gravy that wraps around the beef and makes it smooth and tasty. Best tried with their hot porotta, the taste of the masala is just incredible. This dish is always on the stove on slow cooking mode so during each time of the day the taste of this dish changes as the water from the beef is constantly loosing. Beef Chilly is their dry fry item that gets a lot of parcel order. Beef Strips are coated with bright red masalas and deep fried in oil to give that dish glistening dry looks and a mouth watering taste.
When you are travelling from Puthampalli to Kundukadavu Junction, this restaurant is located on the left side just before Purangu Junction. They don’t have much parking space of their own but you can always find space on the roadside nearby.
They have this open Kitchen setup, where you can see the present owner Nawas who also the Head Chef is preparing the dishes. Ambiance of this restaurant is pretty basic with plastic chairs and tables but none of those things will matter after you take your first bite.
