Although there are a number of reasons why this place becomes a favorite among the employees at Technopark, the primary reason is the food they serve. Afternoon meals served with their special fish fry is the main crowd puller element of this place. The meals are simple yet tasty and have that genuine touch of homeliness to it. Meals served in banana leaves have two side dishes, four types of ozhichu curries and a chunk of Kappapuzhukku served with it. All the side curries and ozhichu curries such as sambar, rasam, parippu curry and fish curry are all equally good combinations.
Mackerel or Saradine are the usual choices of fishes you get to choose from with your meals from this place. Apart from being close to Technopark and serving good homely food another attractive point is the cheap price they charge for such good food they serve at this place.
This place gets a lot more customers than it can handle during their rush hours from 12 pm to 2 pm. After completing the meals, you have to clear the banana leaves yourself and dump it in the waste bin kept near the washing area.
This place is run by a family and all the work from cooking to serving is done by the members of the family themselves. They have converted a home into this hotel, so the food is not the only thing that’s ‘homely’ from this place. The restaurant has a long rectangular dining area with plastic stools and steel tables with granite tops as main furniture. As it is a converted house the place is maintained like a house too, even during their peak hours the service is efficient and they try to keep the place neat and clean as possible.
