Located at Manjali at Diamond Mukku, is C.H Biriyani one of the best hotels to try out Manjali Special Biriyani and Halwa items. Manjali is quite famous among the foodies for their special type of dishes and is a well known foodie haven. C.H Biriyani is open from 11 am to 9 pm all throughout the week but its best to visit this place during their lunch hours.
When you are travelling from Paravoor to Athani, you pass through an area called Manjali, a place well known for its special culinary skills. There are various famous caterers from Manjali, who specialised in wedding receptions and slowly Manjali area got famous all over Kerala for their special kind of preparation for weddings. Fast forward to present day and most of those caterers opened their own restaurants in the Manjali area and this lace became a foodie haven.
From the time you turn from Paravoor to Manjali road, both sides of the road are dotted with restaurants which proudly boast the Manjali style prepared Biriyani and snacks. As many of such places are not authentically from Manjali, one will be so confused which place to go to get the authentic Manjali cuisine dishes.
C.H Biriyani and Halwa Stall will be an apt place to visit. Doing catering service from 1980s, their restaurant is located at Manjali Diamond Mukku, opposite S.N Gist Collage. When you are travelling from Paravoor to Manjali, this restaurant is located on the left side. They don’t have their own parking space but you can find arking on the roadside near the restaurant.
Their special Biriyani is the main attraction from this place with its richness of spices and ghee. Rice used in the Biriyani is ‘Dum’ prepared, while the chicken is separately fried and later smothered in special gravy and served. They prepare the dishes like its a wedding reception with all the ingredients and spices to make the dishes they serve special each day. Halwa and other sweets made at this lace also has huge demand among their customers.
This is a small one room shop with very limited seats gets filled very fast during their lunch hours. Most of the travellers who pass by buy parcels and take cause of the limitations in dining. Before the Manjali Bridge came this place was a dead end at the banks of the river but as now this place connects two important destinations the popularity of this foodie haven rose up exponentially.
